Electronic Security Technician
Columbia, Maryland Position Summary: SCD Information Technology LLC is seeking candidates for the position of
Electronic Security Technician . This position is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting intercom, intrusion alarm systems, network infrastructure, access control, and CCTV. A successful candidate should be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, submittals, schematics, and diagrams. Maintaining and repairing electronic security equipment, including alarm systems, business security systems, closed-circuit video surveillance, and fire alarms in addition to identifying and troubleshooting basic network-related problems on hardware or software.
Responsibilities: - experience providing support of commercial electronic security systems
- strong analytical skills for trouble shooting
- strong working knowledge of hand tools, power tools and specific tools of the trade
- knowledge of low voltage cable
- physical ability to work on ladders, in elevated heights and lift over 50lbs
- excellent communications and customer interaction skills
