LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN ALLIANCE OH IS LOOKING FOR A 2ND SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR ROLE.

SHIFT: 2ND SHIFT MON-FRI 3PM-11PM

SALARY RANGE: $60K-$70K

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safety – Ensuring all employees are following safe practices
• Communication
• With Lead Supervisor –
• First line of communication for the following
• Scheduling Problems
• Employee issues
• Production Problems (material and SKU level problems to maintenance issues)
• Waste Problems
• Slitting Status
• Scheduled time off staffing concerns
• With employees throughout the shift with primary focus on known daily production challenges, including challenging production runs, machines, personnel, processes, etc.
• Providing performance feedback to employees
• Supervising Production Floor
• Entire Production Floor – Working with the Thermo Team Lead
• Manage up-coming machines so a scheduled machine can be brought up immediately when staffed (same shift or a following shift)
• Making sure priorities are being followed and if unable, communicate the circumstances
• Special projects such as rework, inventory prep,
• Monitor the floor for excessive scrap, web widths, and other reasons for high generation of scrap
• Cups, Slitting, Maintenance, Material Handling
• Have a working knowledge of how the cup machines run and be able to troubleshoot
• Have a good knowledge of slitting
• Placing machines into Maintenance, creating a work order
• Working with Maintenance Techs to priority based activities
• Releasing machines back into production
• Understand wrap needs and direct employees to replenish when needed and if unable, communicate to the entire team so next shifts know of the needs
• Give breaks to keep machines running
• Quality and Cleanliness
• Generating any appropriate forms for damages – internal and external
• No damaged materials or finished goods should be transferred without appropriate communication and forms
• Nothing is destroyed without the appropriate forms for inventory accuracy
• The floor should be clean at all times. Monitor employee cleaning process throughout the shift
• Administrative
• Reporting – Know and understand production reporting systems
• Vacations – monitor and manage shift employee vacations
