Position: Project Coordinator

Position Description:

DBI Projects is seeking to bring on a Project Coordinator to join our New York office. This position provides the opportunity for an entry-level candidate to develop the requisite skills and experience for a career in project management. DBI values an individual who has the ability and drive to work hard, is detail-oriented, highly motivated, and is not afraid to take on assignments and endeavors while implementing a results-driven attitude. A desire to be heavily involved with all aspects of design and construction is required.

Required Experience & Skill:

The role of Project Coordinator is tailored to the needs of each individual project and the phases of the project. The Project Coordinator supports the project team with meeting minutes, document management, project team procurement and coordination, contractor and schedule management, budget management, and other project-related activities.

Prospective applicants should have 1–3 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, and/or related practices with an understanding and knowledge of project management.

Key capabilities include:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Adobe Create Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam
  • Construction scheduling programs such as MS Projects

What You’ll Do:

  • Understand the relationship between budget, contracts, and invoicing.
  • Prepare clear and actionable emails, updates, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and follow ups.
  • Organize project documents, communications, and scheduling.
  • Take clear notes during meetings that identify action items and items of record.
  • Contribute with all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) at every project stage including pre-development, planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Produce requisitions through project closeout.
  • Pull cost data from other budgets, pricing proposals, and bids and with assistance can translate all that data into a budget number.
  • Prepare FF&E and IT/AV budgets.

Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be prepared to be an active team participant for both internal and external tasks.

Location: This position is in our New York City office, 5 days a week in-person.

The salary range for this full-time role is $55-$75K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary.
