Job Description

Job Summary:

The Receptionist/Human Resources Clerk will be responsible for clerical assistance to the Human Resources department, compiles and maintains employment records, handles basic data entry as well as assist HR Manager with recruiting, testing and daily filing.

Essential Functions:

• Answer switchboard and connect caller to correct extension or department and page as necessary.
• Sort, distribute and process incoming and outgoing mail.
• Provide administrative assistance to human resource and other departments as required.
• Prepare lobby area for the day; unlock main entrance doors, manage the visitor register and badges.
• Greet visitors, maintains visitor logbook and notifies the appropriate company personnel of visitor(s) arrival.
• Maintain production and office bulletin boards.
• Support employment process by creating new employee files, coordinate badges and collecting paperwork.
• Monitor, order, and maintain office supplies.
• Track and maintain employee time cards and consolidate necessary information for payroll.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, copying and faxing.
• Maintain and update the Payroll/Human Resources database.
• Process new hires and terminated employees.
• Process all changes/updates to employees' records as submitted.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline is required.
• Minimum of two years experience in related field.
• Strong communication, analytical abilities and organization skills.
• General knowledge of Adobe applications, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred.
