Sr. Software Quality Engineer (Contract) San Mateo, CA Do you have a passion for quality? We are looking for self-motivated, quick-starter and highly proactive individuals to join our full stack team, who will be testing new and existing features on multiple platforms and devices in a software development environment and ensuring quality of automation and test frameworks. Responsibilities: Create, maintain, and execute test plan, test cases to ensure the quality of new features Passionate about Quality and strive to improve processes, generate new standards, and drive their usage within the teams. Partner with dev team to ensure test coverage and build test plans that help deliver high quality features Review product requirements and technical design documents to understand how the feature works on the PlayStation console and create effective testing strategies Collaborate with distributed teams for multi-functional test plan design and execution Report, track and verify defects Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge 5+ years or equivalent experience in QA methodologies and experience developing and executing comprehensive test suites for system software. Experience with Agile methodologies. Experience with test case management systems & JIRA database systems Experience with automation using any programming language: Java, Python, etc Experience using source control (esp. Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins or Circle CI) Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with at least one modern web application framework, preferably React Experience developing or testing a non-PC device (phone/game console/set-top box, etc.) Knowledge and experience testing APIs and Service Oriented architecture Profile (Non-Technical) Ability to work quickly, productively, and independently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team with minimum direction with strong work ethic A passion for robust code
