The ideal candidate will have the passion and commitment to champion the rights of individuals seeking immigration assistance. This role involves providing legal counsel to a diverse client base, with a primary focus on immigration law. The candidate will be responsible for managing a high-volume caseload, preparing immigration applications, and representing clients in immigration court proceedings. This is a fantastic opportunity for an immigration attorney to make a significant impact in the lives of those seeking to navigate the complex immigration process. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients regarding their immigration status, rights, and options. Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively, ensuring all deadlines are met. Prepare and submit immigration applications, including but not limited to, family-based petitions, asylum applications, waivers, removal defense, and appeals. Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, administrative appeals, and interviews before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Conduct thorough legal research to support client cases and stay abreast of changes in immigration law and policy. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and excellent customer service. Collaborate with legal team members to strategize the best course of action for clients. Qualifications Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. License to practice law in the state and good standing with the state bar association. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as an Associate Attorney in a law firm setting, with a focus on immigration law. Proven track record of representing clients in a variety of immigration matters. Exceptional knowledge of immigration law and policy, and the ability to apply this knowledge to client cases. Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with strict deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, staff, and court officials. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable, but not required. A commitment to the rights and welfare of immigrants.
